ÖSTERREICHISCHER
FOOTGOLF-BUND
FOOTGOLF AUSTRIA
Welcome to the ÖFGB
!
The ÖFGB is the first official Austrian FootGolf Association/Federation founded in 2016 by merger of
several Austrian FootGolf clubs e.g. FootGolf Vienna, 1. OÖ. FootGolf Club (Union Windischgarsten)
and various Golf clubs and approved by the Republic of Austria.
Based on para 2 The purposes of the Association, Section 1 of the ÖFGB Statutes:
The
Österreichische
FootGolf-Bund
(hereinafter
referred
to
as
the
ÖFGB)
represents
the
not
profit-oriented
politically
and
religiously
neutral
non-profit
Federation of the FootGolf clubs and golf clubs of the republic of Austria as the
Umbrella Association…….
THE ÖFGB IS
OFFICIAL MEMBER OF THE
FIFG
(Federation for International FootGolf)
"Keep calm and play FootGolf - Enrich your leisure time!“
It
is
still
a
very
young
sport,
which
only
exists
since
approx.
2006,
but
already
world-wide
gaining
ground.
The
origin
of
this
sport
is
unclear,
but
it
is
well
known
that
in
2008
the
first
FootGolf
tournament
was
held
on
a
9-hole
golf
course
by
Dutch
and
Belgian
professional
footballers
in
the
Netherlands.
Since
the
American
FootGolf
League
was
only
founded
in
2011,
it
would
be
quite
possible
that
this
sport
originally
came
from
Europe
via
the
USA
back
to
Europe.
The
1st
FootGolf
World
Cup
was
held
in
Hungary
in
2012.
FootGolf
is
a
harmonious
combination
of
soccer
and
golf
and
is
now
being
played
in
more
than
40
countries
and
we
would
like
to
make
it
possible
for
those
interested
to
do
this
sport.
However,
FootGolf
is
not
to
be
confused
with
Foot
ball
golf
as
there
are
no
obstacles
such
as
gates,
tires
or
poles
at
FootGolf.
FootGolf
is
played
like
Golf.
The
only
difference
is
that
instead
of
the
golf
ball
football
balls
are
used
and
instead
of
the
golf
clubs
the
foot
is
used
to
cope
the
Golf
course.
With
as
few
shots
as
possible,
the
ball
is
to
be
punched
from
a
marked
tee-off
in
a
hole
corresponding
to
soccer
balls
(instead
of
10.8
centimeters
50
to
53
centimeters
in
diameter).
The
FootGolf
rules
are
analogous
to
the
classic
Golf
rules
and
of
course
disciplined
behavior
and
adherence
to
etiquette
are
also
expected.
It
does
not
fit
to
wear
a
football
outfit,
but
poloshirt,
knee-length
golf
pants
and
knee-high
Golf
socks
are
required.
Mostly
are
only
football
boots
with
multi-studs
turf
outsoles allowed or shoes that are suitable for turf or indoor floors.

Please
make

the
responsibility
of

long
as
they
participate
in

FIFG
or ÖFGB tournaments.
